I’m a journalist with over 10 years of experience writing, streaming, and making content about video games. As someone who grew up playing video games, I immediately knew I wanted to create a career around them. This led to getting an associate degree in journalism where I ran the college newspaper and simultaneously covered video games. I’ve written a little bit of everything from reviews to features while also making videos and livestreaming too. I always look for a way to cover the industry I love.
One way was creating Slyther Games to produce all sorts of content covering the video game industry. My education and experience writing for websites like IGN, MMORPG.com, IndieGameWeb, and many sites I’ve volunteered for have reinforced my professional background. I’m always willing to try a new game or genre. Even though you’ll often see me playing RPGs, survival games, roguelikes, and more. I own almost 1,000 games on Steam so don’t be surprised if you see me playing a lot of indies. I still remember the days of playing free flash games and trying tons of free to play MMOs that my PC could barely run.
