Cult of the Lamb – How to Move Buildings

Cult of the Lamb - How to Move Buildings

Deciding where to place every building and decoration in Cult of the Lamb can be tricky if you’re not sure at first. Especially since it feels like you have a ton of space when you’re just starting out. But over time, it can begin to get crowded as you unlock new buildings. That’s why a common question players ask is how to move buildings.

It can also be easy to misplace a building slightly off from where you want it to be. I know I’ve made that mistake before with how offset the grid is for placing buildings. This can make it even tougher to place path/floor decorations too.

How to Move Buildings in Cult of the Lamb.

Cult of the Lamb - Signpost For Building

If your camp is starting to get a little too disorganized, it’s time to start moving stuff around.

The good thing about moving buildings in your camp is that it doesn’t cost anything. You don’t need to destroy it and rebuild it, because you can simply move it. First, you’ll need to find the signpost with a hammer on it to the left of your shrine for building. This is the same signpost you interact with when placing a new building.

Instead of selecting a blueprint, you’ll want to take a look at the bottom left corner of your screen. Depending on what platform you’re playing Cult of the Lamb on, this button will be different for each person. If you’re playing on PC, at the bottom left corner it should say, “C Edit Buildings”.

Cult of the Lamb - Can You Move Buildings

Regardless of what platform you’re playing on such as PC or console, you can follow the screen button prompts.

All you need to do now is press C and move the hammer over the building or decoration that you want to move. Continue following the button prompts along the bottom of your screen for what buttons to press next. As I’m playing on PC, it’s E to pick up a building and then E to place it back down.

If you’d prefer to just flip the direction of the selected building instead, there’s also a button prompt for this too. You’ll need to select the building first and then press R if you’re on PC. Many buildings and decorations don’t tend to change much after doing so, but some do. If you’re going for a certain look, you may want to use it.

Cult of the Lamb - Moving a Stone Mine

Removing a building will immediately get rid of it without a confirm window. So be sure about it before you do, because you won’t get the resources back.

One more point worth mentioning is that you can’t move tree spawn locations. Therefore, you’re unfortunately stuck working around them even though there aren’t too many. Similar to how you can’t build near the center of your camp either.

That’s all there is to this short guide on how to move buildings in Cult of the Lamb. I hope this makes your life a little bit easier in designing your camp the way you want. Aside from unlocking new buildings via Divine Inspirations, you’re bound to get tons of cool new decorations along the way too.
