How to Relocate In TWD: Survivors

TWD Survivors - Empty Spot Relocate Guide

The first thing you need to do when moving your base in TWD: Survivors is decide where you want to move to.

If you’re not sure how to move your base, don’t worry, it’s not too complicated. However, depending on where you want to move to, you’ll need a certain item. There are three different relocation items for moving that are explained below:

  • Random Relocation – When using this item from your inventory, it will teleport your town to somewhere random on the map. You don’t have any control over where this brings you. It could be extremely close, far, or in a dangerous area. So be careful when using this item. A good way to use this one is if you’re looking to explore new areas or hunt players. These cost 100,000 clan points or 500 rubies (real-money currency).
  • Clan Relocation – This is the item you’re most likely to use regarding how to relocate. You can only use this item to teleport into clan territory. This includes any territory on the world map that your clan has a base, outpost, or captured community at. These are also a little more affordable from the clan shop, priced at 200,000 clan points. While it may change, these aren’t available in the ruby shop.
  • Elite Relocation – This is the most expensive choice for relocating that lets you move anywhere you’d like. So long as there’s room for you to place your base/town, you can use this item. This is for picking a specific spot that isn’t inside your clan territory. These cost 400,000 clan points or 2,000 rubies (real-money currency).

Once you’ve decided what area you’re moving your base into, all you need to do is tap the map to get it started. As long as it’s an empty space, a giant button will pop up saying, “Relocate”. Tap this button and it will show you which of the three items explained above are needed.

TWD Survivors - Relocate Items Guide

Once you’ve decided where you’re going to move to in TWD: Survivors, make sure there aren’t too many towns nearby.

When choosing where to move your base, make sure you’re not placing your town too close to other players. There’s a small radius around each player that prevents towns from being too close to each other. But, don’t worry, if you try to place within that zone, it will simply let you know. And then you can drag your town more easily into a spot that works for you. This is a useful method to see those blocked areas a little easier.

Another useful TWD: Survivors tip is that you can often get relocate items by simply playing the game. You can often find them in event rewards, so be sure to take full advantage. Otherwise, as we previously mentioned, it helps to be involved in your clan so you can buy more of them. You never know when your clan might be making a push toward a new area. It helps to relocate so you can shorten your formation march times.

@Jeffrey Lerman, what happens if you destroy your posts and base...

I haven't personally owned a clan in TWD: Survivors, but from what I've read, I don't think you can relocate a clan base. I'm pretty sure you'd need to destroy it and then rebuild it elsewhere. Otherwise, it'd be a little powerful if you could relocate it anywhere. For clans that make it to 4000 prosperity, they can make a second base as well.
