Sands of Salzaar – Dakn Tournament Riddle Answers

If you’re looking for answers to the three Dakn Tournament riddles, you’re in the right place. For those that don’t know, once you get the Jamal City Treasure mission, you have a limited amount of time to complete it. Upon finding Ribya at the Triptych Rock (East Outpost), in Crying Rock, you’ll have to answer a few riddles to continue on.

Dakn Tournament Riddle Answers

Chicken Riddle Answer

Riddle: First question. There are chickens and rabbits together. In total, there are 16 animals with 44 legs. How many chickens are there and how many rabbits are there?

Answer: 10 Chickens, 6 Rabbits.

The answer to this riddle is because chickens have two legs and rabbits have four legs. Multiplying 10 chickens by 2 gives you 20 legs. Then, multiplying 6 rabbits by 4 gives you 24 legs. Add the two together and you get 44 legs.

Silk Riddle Answer

Riddle: Second question. There are four colors of silk in a box. Everyone can take one to two rolls. If a person takes two rolls then the rolls must be different colors. What is the lowest number of people who must take silk rolls to ensure that three people have the exact same number of rolls and in the same colors? (Regardless of the order they acquire silk)

Answer: 21 people

This seems to be a probability riddle/question that you may be able to figure out better than I can. Personally, I guessed and got lucky that it let me continue the mission.

Statue Riddle Answer

Riddle: Third question: A statue was planned to be built by 40 people and completed in 15 days. If it were to be completed 3 days earlier, how many more people do you need?

Answer: 10 people

The math behind this riddle is multiplying the people by the days required to get your answer. First, we know 40 times 15 equals 600. So if we add each answer to the original 40 number of people and then multiply it by the new amount of days (12), we’ll get our answer when it equals 600. Therefore, the answer is 10 people, found after multiplying 50 by 12.

Once you’ve finished answering the Dakn Guard’s riddles, he’ll give you a number of opponents to beat. This appears to be based on your answers. The ones above will lead to having to fight one opponent. So if you have different results, be sure to let us know in the comments below the article.

Aiding the Dakn or the Akhal

Once you’ve finished both the riddles and the fighting portion of the Dakn Tournament, you’ll be faced with a decision. First, it’s important to notice the distinction that the Dakn is referring to Ribya. And the Akhal is referring to Bahat. Depending on your choice, you’ll gain positive reputation with the one you aid and a small negative amount with other factions. Aiding the Dakn will result in a reputation boost of 10 with The Dakn faction and goods worth around 350 Utar.
