Fisch Creator Reveals New Roblox Game, DIG

The creator behind the popular Roblox fishing game Fisch now has a new game on the way called DIG. Fisch creator, WoozyNate, released a short trailer in the Fisch Discord teasing the game before it was removed. According to WoozyNate, they weren’t allowed to post it there and that’s why it was removed.

This isn’t too surprising since the company that bought into Fisch, Do Big Studios, probably doesn’t want to promote a different game. We don’t know what level of involvement Do Big Studios has in Fisch since it won’t respond to our emails. Also, I don’t recall the specifics, but the announcement had commentary on not putting aggressive monetization into DIG. This is a common worry when third-party companies acquire Roblox games.

WoozyNate did, however, quickly imply that Do Big Studios isn’t involved in DIG,

“I HAVE FULL CONTROL OVER DIG. IDC WHOSE ON THE GAME, I WILL CONTROL EVERY LITTLE DETAIL.”

The FAQ channel in the DIG Discord also has a message from developer number6, “DIG is and will be developed & operated by Nate, Kyle, and I.” Alongside the trailer, the developers announced a release date of June 28. So interested players won’t have to wait too long to get their hands on it.

What to Expect in DIG

The trailer doesn’t show a whole lot beyond digging, selling your items, and then buying a car to go driving. However, some content creators have already had access to it and are showing off gameplay. This includes content like co-op boss fights, different biomes to explore, and of course, digging.

One YouTuber briefly showed an in-game Robux shop, but the prices weren’t all implemented yet. With that said, it did show three totems that can impact the traits of items you dig up. It also had six gamepasses with some being useful quality of life features and others increasing your luck or experience.

That aside, WoozyNate has mentioned in Discord that they’re aiming for big monthly updates to prioritize quality over quantity. Hopefully they’re able to follow that plan since crunch and burnout seem to be a common problem among Roblox developers. If we can ever get a hold of WoozyNate or the developers working on DIG, we’ll try to provide you with more information.
